Dean Fang Quan noted that the exhibition, themed “Coordinating Development and Security to Safeguard the New Journey of the 15th Five-Year Plan,” highlighted the new outlook at the outset of the nation’s 15th Five-Year Plan and Macao SAR’s “3+5” development plan. The exhibition demonstrated how, under the leadership of the Central Government, the Macao SAR has firmly adhered to the correct direction of the “One Country, Two Systems” principle, effectively coordinated development and security, and continuously improved its legal framework and enforcement mechanisms for safeguarding national security. These efforts have yielded fruitful results in ensuring high-quality development through high-level security.

Dean Fang emphasized that these achievements were highly inspiring for participants and provided important guidance for the Faculty’s future teaching and research. He stated that the Faculty of Law will continue to advance research on national security and the “One Country, Two Systems” principle, and cultivate legal professionals who are committed to the nation and dedicated to the development of the Macao SAR. Together, they will contribute to strengthening the national security framework, drawing a shared blueprint for development, and supporting the implementation of the 15th Five-Year Plan.

Participating students commented that the visit enhanced their legal awareness and strengthened their sense of national identity. They gained a deeper understanding of the close relationship between national security, personal development and social prosperity, and further reinforced their patriotic commitment to both the nation and Macao. As young people in the new era, they expressed their determination to shoulder new responsibilities, integrate personal growth into national development, remain vigilant and forward-looking, and serve as steadfast defenders of national security and contributors to national rejuvenation amid a complex and evolving international landscape.

In addition, faculty members and students from the MUST Faculty of Law actively participated in the essay competition themed “Artificial Intelligence Safeguarding National Security,” which is part of the National Security Education Day promotional activities jointly organized by the Macao SAR Government and the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macao SAR. Among them, student Guo Runmeng received the Merit Award in the tertiary education category.
