Macao Centre for Law and Finance

The Macao Centre for Law and Finance was officially established in 2020 with the approval of the University. The Centre is committed to building a high level international research base and a high-end think tank with Macao characteristics, a global vision, and an organic combination of theory and practice around law and finance. The Centre aims to serve the construction of the financial legal system of Macao and the country, and to participate in the new development of global financial legal theory research.

In addition to research, in order to develop legal and financial talents, the Centre also undertakes teaching and extracurricular research instruction in financial law and other related subjects to meet the needs of the undergraduate degree programs and the Master of Financial Crime and Regulation program in the Faculty.

Relying on the strong academic accumulation of the University and the strong support of relevant institutions outside the university, the Centre will continue to carry out research, teaching and social services in the form of research projects, academic conferences, lectures, and training. The Centre will also take advantage of Macao's advantages as “One Centre, One Platform, and One Base” to exchange and cooperate with academic institutions, regulatory authorities, legislative bodies, professional associations and other relevant organizations in neighboring regions and other countries.
