Graduation Ceremony for the Faculty of Law, Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST), Successfully Held in 2023
The graduation ceremony for the Faculty of Law at Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST) was successfully held on the afternoon of June 7th in the N101 Auditorium of the university. Vice President Kwong Yingwa represented the university and presided over the ceremony together with Dean Fang Quan of the Faculty of Law. They awarded degree certificates to the graduates, including Master of Laws Master of Juris, Master of Criminal Justice, Master of International Economic Commercial Law, Master of International Arbitration, Master of Financial Crime and Regulation, and Bachelor of Laws.
The distinguished guests included Professor Cao Xia, Program Directors Xie Gengliang, Bi Jingwei, Mou Xiaobo, Associate Professors Yi Zaicheng, Zhu Shihai, Shen Yunqiao, Wang Chuanhui, Assistant Professors Zhu Feng, Dai Mengliang, Xue Wenchao, Zhou Ting, Xiao Huina, Chen Bo, Wang Jia, Wong Wengkuok, Zhong Wencai, Zhou Qin, Wang Wanli, Chen Qin, Wang Chao, and Liao Si. Over 300 undergraduate and graduate students from the Faculty of Law, as well as their families and friends, attended the ceremony, witnessing an important moment as they embark on a new journey in life.

Dean Fang Quan of the Faculty of Law delivered a speech at the graduation ceremony, in which she first congratulated the students on successfully completing their studies and expressed gratitude to the parents for their support of the college. She then reminisced with everyone about the hardships that the faculty and students of the Faculty of Law had overcome together since the outbreak of the pandemic three years ago. She expressed her relief at the courage and resilience demonstrated by the students in the face of unprecedented challenges. She advised the graduates to carry the experience of overcoming the darkness of the pandemic and embrace the joy of graduation, emphasizing the importance of maintaining the ability to run in the dark, as it is in the darkness that one can reach the light. She wished all the graduates to hold onto their ideals, run bravely, and reach the shores of brightness.
Address by Dean Fang Quan to the Graduates
During the ceremony, a simple yet dignified ceremony was held to present the "Graduation Honor Sashes." The university established the "Graduation Honor Sash" system for the first time to recognize outstanding undergraduate graduates. This year, Xu Ke, a student from the Faculty of Law, was awarded the first-class "Graduation Honor Sash," while Du Jingkang, Zhang Yiying, and Fang Haocheng received the second-class "Graduation Honor Sash."

Undergraduate student Zhang Yiying from the Faculty of Law and master's student Wang Ying spoke as representatives of the graduates. They reflected on their learning and growth during their university years, expressed gratitude for the excellent learning platform and teaching environment provided by the university, and thanked the faculty members of the Faculty of Law for their careful cultivation and guidance. They sincerely wished all the graduates a bright future and success in becoming outstanding legal professionals.
