MUST Faculty of Law 2025 Graduates Secure Admissions to Prestigious Universities

The Faculty of Law at Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST) is pleased to announce that multiple members of its Class of 2025 have gained admission to renowned law schools worldwide for further studies, accompanied by prestigious scholarships. Admitted institutions include University College London (UCL), The University of Hong Kong (HKU), University of California, Berkeley (UC Berkeley), The University of Melbourne, The University of Sydney, King's College London (KCL), The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), The University of Edinburgh, and Northwestern University, among other distinguished institutions.

The Faculty emphasizes the integration of theoretical instruction and practical training, actively aligning with local and international professional trends. It continuously refines its curriculum to cultivate well-rounded legal professionals. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition, International Criminal Court Moot Court Competition (ICC Moot), Foreign Direct Investment International Arbitration Moot (FDI Moot), and Asia-Pacific M&A Moot Competition. In recent years, Faculty students have consistently achieved outstanding results in these competitions, significantly enhancing their postgraduate application profiles.

Furthermore, the Faculty and its affiliated institutions provide platforms for students by inviting prominent academics and practitioners from around the world to deliver lectures, broadening students' academic horizons and offering valuable guidance for further studies and career choices.

About the MUST Faculty of Law

 

Established in 2000, the MUST Faculty of Law offers an LL.B. program, six Master's programs (Mater of Laws, Juris Master, Master of Laws in Criminal Justice, Master of International Economic and Commercial Law, Master of International Arbitration, Master of Financial Crime and Regulation), and two doctoral programs (Ph.D. in Law, Doctor of Laws). The LL.B. program features a unique dual-track curriculum in Macao law and Chinese law, reflecting the "One Country, Two Systems" principle. Postgraduate programs focus on comparative and cross-jurisdictional law.

The Faculty is the first batch members of the Mainland-Hong Kong-Macao Law Education Alliance and the young member of the Asian Law Institute. In collaboration with the Macau Anti-Money Laundering Specialists Association, it hosts the "CAMS Examination Centre Macao" (authorized by ACAMS), supporting the Master of Financial Crime and Regulation program to cultivate local AML and regulatory talent.

Research centers include: Centre for Arbitration and Dispute Resolution, Centre for Legal Practice Education, Macao Centre for Legal and Financial Studies, Macao Intellectual Property Research Centre (Partner Base of the Intellectual Property Research Centre of Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, a Key Research Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences under the Ministry of Education), the Macao Research Centre for the Judicial Training Base of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization was formed under the cooperation between the Faculty and the judicial training based of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.

Leveraging Macao's unique cultural and regional strengths, the Faculty actively engages in international academic exchanges and has established extensive partnerships worldwide. It is dedicated to cultivating ethically grounded, competent legal professionals committed to serving society within the evolving landscape of cross-jurisdictional law.
