On the morning of July 9, 2025, the Faculty of Law successfully organized the "AI and Smart Classroom" Summer Faculty Workshop. In response to the educational transformations of the AI era, the University aims to empower teaching innovation through technology, seeking to enhance both educational quality and efficiency by constructing the Future Learning Center, renovating teaching spaces, and reforming pedagogical models. The workshop provided a forum for faculty members to share perspectives on the future of teaching methodologies in legal education.
Chaired by Prof. Xie Gengliang, Program Director of the Faculty of Law, the event was attended by Dean Fang Quan and faculty members Peng Yunpeng, Dai Mengliang, Zhu Feng, Xue Wenchao, Zhou Ting, Zhang Chuanqi, Wong Weng Kuok, Zhou Qin, Liao Si, Man Tao, Gao Yang, and Chen Guanhong.
During the workshop, Prof. Xie Gengliang introduced the functions and core advantages of the Future Learning Center. He emphasized that the Cenrer is designed to strengthen the cultivation of key competencies, diversify teaching scenarios, improve learning experiences and pedagogical effectiveness, and boost productivity—ultimately enabling personalized, blended, and collaborative learning. Faculty members actively exchanged views on the impact and challenges of AI-driven teaching reforms, integrating discipline-specific features of legal education and talent development.
This event marks the first session of the Faculty of Law’s 2025 Summer Workshop Series. Throughout the summer, the Faculty will organize multiple workshops to foster academic exchange among faculty and further enhance the professional development of its teaching staff.
