On the morning of November 18, 2024, President Yu Xuewang of the Zhuhai International Arbitration Court (ZHIAC) led a delegation to visit the Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST) Faculty of Law. The delegation was warmly received by Professor Fang Quan, Dean of the Faculty of Law, alongside Assistant Dean Yi Zaicheng, Program Directors Xie Gengliang and Bi Jingwei, who participated in the discussions.

Dean Fang Quan welcomed President Yu and his delegation, acknowledging ZHIAC’s remarkable development in recent years and highlighting the strong collaborative foundation between ZHIAC and the MUST Faculty of Law. He noted that ZHIAC has long served as a practical teaching base for the Faculty, providing substantial support for student internships, career development, and offering faculty members opportunities to gain hands-on experience, thereby enhancing teaching and research capabilities. Dean Fang expressed hopes to leverage geographical advantages and integrate resources to deepen cooperation in areas such as student practical training, joint research projects, and collaborative academic initiatives, fostering cross-border legal talent and contributing to the rule of law development in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the Hengqin Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone.
President Yu Xuewang emphasized ZHIAC’s role in advancing regional rule of law development, business environment enhancement, and safeguarding economic and trade activities within the Greater Bay Area. He praised the MUST Faculty of Law for its high-quality educational resources, research expertise, and cross-border academic focus, which align with ZHIAC’s demand for interdisciplinary legal talents. President Yu expressed confidence in the broad prospects for future collaboration between the two institutions.
