The Faculty of Law Advisory Committee held the annual meeting for 2023/2024

The 2023/2024 annual meeting of the Faculty of Law Advisory Committee of Macao University of Science and Technology (M.U.S.T.) was held May 24 in R104 Conference Hall, Block R.

Members of the Faculty of Law Advisory Committee participating in the meeting include Professor Fang Quan, Dean of the Faculty of Law of M.U.S.T.; Mr. Xiao Shengfang, Vice President of the All China Lawyers Association (online); Mr. Lei Wun Kong, Member of the Committee for the Basic Law of the Macao Special Administrative Region of the NPC Standing Committee; Mr. Qi Shouming, General Counsel of the Joyy Inc.; Ms. Oriana Inácio Pun, Secretary General of the Macao Lawyers Association (AAM); Mr. Liu Chien Hung, Professor of College of Law, National Chung-Cheng University, Taiwan; Mr. Lao Chak Kuong, President of M.U.S.T. Faculty of Law Alumni Association; Ms. Lou Sio Fong, Lawyer of Lou Sio Fong Lawyers & Associates (members are listed in order of surname strokes) and Assistant Professor Zhou Ting, Secretary of the Advisory Committee. Also present at the meeting were Assistant Dean Yi Zicheng, Program Directors Xie Gengliang, Bi Jingwei and Mou Xiaobo. Some members were unable to attend due to business.

The meeting was chaired by Dean Fang Quan, Chairwoman of the Advisory Committee. The Committee adopted the minutes of the last meeting, and Chairwoman Fang Quan reported to the on the operation and development of the Faculty of Law in the past year. This included teaching and research, the number of teachers and students, discipline construction, external exchanges, and social services. During the meeting, the committee members mainly discussed opening new courses, creating academic journals, and the internationalization development of the faculty. They also put forward valuable suggestions. Members fully recognized the achievements of the Faculty of Law and hoped that the faculty would continue to promote the development of interdisciplinary disciplines, utilize its regional advantages, cultivate cross-domain and composite legal talents, and help meet the demand for talents in the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
