Center Introduction

Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST) and the Intellectual Property Research Center of Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, jointly established the “Macao Research Center for Intellectual Property”(hereinafter to be referred as “Center”) which was authorized by the Humanities and Social Sciences of Ministry of Education of China. The establishment of the Center was authorized by the Ministry of Education of China in 2017 and Mr. Chen Baosheng, the Ministry of Education, presented at MUST for the inauguration ceremony on 16 April, 2018.  After the establishment of the Center, it was managed by the Faculty of Law in MUST 

The Center undertakes high-level academic projects and academic conferences, in order to highlight the nurture of the Master and Doctoral research students in Intellectual Property and social services. The objectives are to develop the Center from an inter region Intellectual Property base and academic exchange platform into an international well-known platform; to progress toward a high-end training base for nurturing the Intellectual Property talents; and to build up a high quality platform for Intellectual Property consulting, training and services.  As well as serving the “One Country, Two Systems”, developing the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and strengthening the International strategy of “Belt and Road Initiative”.
