Faculty Dean Professor Fang Quan delivered a welcoming speech on behalf of the Faculty, extending a warm welcome to all new students. She encouraged students to cultivate integrity in thought, uphold the rule of law, promote righteousness, and safeguard justice. She emphasized that the mission of legal professionals lies in continuous self-development through these four dimensions. According to her, a sense of mission is not submission to destiny, but a conscious commitment to responsibility. She stressed that this journey requires both honesty in facing oneself and courage in facing the world. Professor Fang further noted that even in the era of artificial intelligence, law remains one of the most promising disciplines. She encouraged students to study diligently, pursue knowledge seriously, conduct themselves with integrity, and move forward courageously.

Representing the faculty, Assistant Professor Man Tao encouraged students to combine their ideals of justice with professional competence and legal skills. He emphasized that fairness and justice should be upheld through facts, legal rules, and proper procedures. In the age of artificial intelligence, he advised students to maintain a spirit of seeking truth and avoid merely pursuing quick answers. Instead, they should strengthen their foundations through the study of legislation, case law, and academic literature. He also encouraged students to embrace challenges, cultivate critical thinking and independent judgment, and appreciate the humanistic values underlying the law, thereby becoming legal professionals with expertise, social responsibility, and humanistic spirit.
