On December 14, 2025, the fifth " Elite Cup" Foreign-related Moot Court Competition successfully concluded at the International Exchange Center of Beijing Institute of Technology. This year’s event was guided by the China Association for Legal Education of China Law Society, jointly organized by the China Law Foundation and the Chongqing Municipal Justice Bureau, and hosted by Beijing Institute of Technology. It attracted participation from 42 teams and over 90 institutions, including Southwest University of Political Science and Law, Chongqing University, and Southwest University of Science and Technology.
As a team from the Hong Kong and Macao region participating for the first time, the team of the Faculty of Law at MUST stood out through a series of intense competitions. With their outstanding performance, they secured the honors of "Team Second Prize," "Excellent Debater Prize," and "Excellent Mentor Prize" in the competition.
" Elite Cup" as a highly influential national foreign-related legal professional competition, adopts a Chinese perspective by selecting typical cases encountered by Chinese enterprises in international economic and trade activities. It applies Chinese law and simulates Chinese litigation procedures, innovatively adopting a "university + practical institution" joint team model. This competition organically integrates students from law schools with professional legal practitioners, aiming to enhance participants' practical legal skills, proficiency in legal English application, and teamwork capabilities.
The team of the Faculty of Law of MUST was led by Assistant Professor Duan Yuanyi of the Faculty of Law. The team members included third-year undergraduate students Diao Ziqing, Dong Xinyue, Liu Fangbing, and Wang Kehan from the Faculty of Law, as well as lawyers Xu Mu and Huang Hai from the ZLC Law Office. This composition fully demonstrated the outstanding strength of the team.
