From December 28, 2025, to January 3, 2026, Assistant Professor Xue Wenchao from the Faculty of Law of Macau University of Science and Technology, along with Juris Master student Wong Chon Wek, attended the "2025 CUPL-Hong Kong and Macao Law Students Beijing Winter Camp," hosted by the China University of Political Science and Law. The event aimed to enhance students' winter break experiences, broaden their perspectives, and deepen Macao students' understanding of Mainland legal systems. It also focused on familiarizing participants with the progress of the country's rule of law and its achievements in various areas, including economics and culture.

The winter camp included academic exchanges, site visits, and cultural experiences, providing Hong Kong and Macao students with valuable opportunities for in-depth learning and interaction. The curriculum included courses on the Hong Kong and Macao Basic Laws and Chinese Criminal Procedure Law. The itinerary also included visits to the Supreme People's Court, the Great Hall of the People, the Hong Kong and Macao Basic Law Committee of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, the Palace Museum, and the Summer Palace. Through these exchanges and learning activities, the students broadened their perspectives, gained new insights into the culture and history of China’s Mainland, deepened their understanding of the "one country, two systems" principle, and enhanced their comprehension of Mainland judicial operations.
Students expressed that through the exchange activities, they gained a deeper understanding of the importance of collaboration and mutual learning. This experience strengthened their aspirations to become high-quality legal professionals and was seen as an invaluable opportunity for personal and professional growth.
