On the morning of August 6, the Faculty of Law successfully organized a summer workshop focused on "Undergraduate Education." The event was chaired by Program Director Xie Gengliang, with the majority of the faculty in attendance.
The workshop aimed to address issues related to undergraduate student development, with faculty members examining and discussing challenges encountered in teaching activities. The goal is to support students in achieving comprehensive growth during their undergraduate studies. Drawing on their experiences as class advisors and academic advisors, the participating teachers engaged in in-depth discussions on how to strengthen student-faculty interaction, respect individual differences, and provide diverse and personalized guidance to motivate students. Additionally, emphasis was placed on monitoring students’ physical and mental well-being, guiding them to establish sound values, and offering advice on career planning and personal development.
Furthermore, based on pratical teaching experiences, the faculty proposed enhancements to the syllabus design within the Outcome-Based Approach (OBA) framework. On this topic, teachers also conducted thorough discussions on various aspects such as curriculum design, syllabus development, and assessment methods, incorporating real teaching cases and considering actual student learning situations.
