Director Wang Yingying of Northwest University of Political Science and Law Visited Faculty of Law

On the morning of December 13, 2024, a delegation led by Director Wang Yingying from the Development Planning and Discipline Construction Office of Northwest University of Political Science and Law (NWUPL) visited the Faculty of Law. The delegation was warmly received by Assistant Dean Yi Zaicheng and Associate Professor Peng Yunpeng. Other distinguished guests included Executive Dean He Xiaoli from the Belt and Road Business Environment Research Institute and Section Chief Wang Menglin from the Office of Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan Affairs.

Assistant Dean Yi Zaicheng extended a warm welcome to Director Wang Yingying and her delegation. He provided an overview of the Faculty of Law's current student and faculty size, teaching and research characteristics, and the operation of academic research platforms. He particularly highlighted the Faculty's focus on comparative law and cross-jurisdictional legal studies, emphasizing its commitment to cultivating local and cross-border legal talents. He noted that Northwest University of Political Science and Law is renowned as one of the "Five Institutes and Four Departments" for cultivating legal talents and expressed hope for establishing connections and cooperation between the two institutions in the future.

Director Wang Yingying introduced NWUPL's efforts in cultivating foreign-related legal talents through teaching, research, international collaborations, and student internships. She expressed her hope that both institutions could leverage their respective strengths to actively engage in exchanges and explore potential collaborations.

This meeting established a friendly connection between the two institutions, paving the way for substantive cooperation in areas such as discipline construction, foreign-related talent cultivation, academic research, and platform development.
