Faculty of Law Successfully Hosts Two Orientation Lectures in October

In October 2024, the Faculty of Law organized two orientation lectures: the Postgraduate Orientation Lecture on "Literature Mining and Thesis Writing" and the Undergraduate Orientation Lecture on "Sharing Experiences in Legal Studies."

Held on the morning of October 18, 2024, in Room O702, the lecture was moderated by Assistant Professor Mou Xiaobo, Master’s Programme Director, and delivered by Assistant Professor Zhou Qin. Assistant Professor Zhou Qin covered four key aspects of academic research, including purpose and structure of a thesis, formulating research questions, literature collection and review, research methods and tools.

Hosted by the MUST Faculty of Law Student Union on the afternoon of October 18 in Room N316, the event featured senior undergraduates Wang Ruoyu (Year 4) and Luo Lewen (Year 2) sharing their academic strategies and insights. The session provided freshmen with practical advice to adapt to university life and fostered interaction and collaboration among students across different year levels. These orientation lectures underscored the Faculty’s commitment to supporting students’ academic journeys, equipping them with essential skills and fostering a culture of peer-led learning and mentorship.
