On the morning of October 29, 2024, a delegation led by Yin Xiaomin, Deputy Director of the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the People’s Government of Shandong Province, visited the Faculty of Law at Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST). The delegation was warmly received by Dean Fang Quan, alongside Assistant Dean Yi Zaicheng, Professor Cao Xia, Programme Director Bi Jingwei, Programme Director Mou Xiaobo, and Assistant Professor Xue Wenchao. Other delegation members included Hao Lei, Director of the Secretariat of the Shandong Provincial Committee for Rule of Law; Ren Shanshan, Director of the Charity Promotion Department, Shandong Provincial Department of Civil Affairs; Zhang Zhaoli, Director of the Comprehensive Department, Shandong Law Society; Wei Zhangzhu, Director of the Policy and Regulation Department, Shandong Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office; Di Xueli, Second-level Researcher of the Policy and Regulation Department, Shandong Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office; Li Na, Fourth-level Researcher of the Organization and Liaison Department, Shandong Women’s Federation.

Dean Fang Quan welcomed the delegation and introduced the Faculty’s student demographics, curriculum design, teaching and research strengths, academic platforms, and international collaborations. He emphasized that the MUST Faculty of Law, as one of the university’s four founding faculties, has consistently upheld the "One Country, Two Systems" principle in legal education, focusing on comparative law and cross-jurisdictional legal studies.
Deputy Director Yin Xiaomin highlighted the strong foundation for cooperation between Shandong Province and Macau in economic, trade, and cultural fields. She expressed hopes to deepen interactions between legal institutions in Shandong and Macau, inviting Macau’s young law students to participate in academic exchanges in Shandong. She also pledged support for collaborative teaching and research platforms to advance foreign-related legal research and talent development.
During the meeting, both sides explored opportunities for future cooperation, aiming to expand collaborative spaces and establish talent exchange platforms.
