On the morning of September 27, 2024, Dean Fang Quan led a delegation from the Faculty of Law of Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST) to visit and engage in discussions with Tsinghua University Law School. The conference was attended by Dean Zhou Guangquan, Vice Dean Long Jun, Vice Dean Gao Simin, Professor Lao Dongyan, Assistant Professor Zhang Mujun, Deputy Director Fan Jingran of the Foreign Affairs Office, and Secretary Lin Wanthi. Additionally, Program Director Mou Xiaobo, Associate Professor Peng Yunpeng, and Assistant Professor Guo Yiting from the Faculty of Law of MUST also participated in the visit to Beijing.

Dean Zhou Guangquan warmly welcomed Dean Fang Quan and her delegation, providing an overview of the development history, teaching characteristics, faculty team, and research strengths of Tsinghua University Law School. He expressed hope that both institutions could further enhance their exchanges and collaborations in research and talent cultivation. In response, Dean Fang Quan thanked Dean Zhou Guangquan and his team for their gracious reception. She shared the founding history and teaching and research characteristics of the Faculty of Law of MUST, highlighting its efforts in promoting the rule of law in the Greater Bay Area and its international development initiatives. Additionally, she presented the training program and enrollment plan for the newly established Doctor of Laws program. Dean Fang Quan expressed her eagerness for future collaboration between the two institutions in talent cultivation and academic research.
During the conference, both parties engaged in comprehensive discussions regarding collaboration on the Doctor of Laws training program and research on legal issues within the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin. Both sides expressed a shared hope that through continued in-depth cooperation, they could collectively contribute to the development of the rule of law in the Cooperation Zone and nurture legal professionals with an international perspective.
