On the morning of February 24th, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Duan Yong, from Shanghai University, along with his delegation, visited the Faculty of Law at M.U.S.T. Vice President Pang Chuan, Dean Fang Quan of the Faculty of Law, Professor Cao Xia, Associate Professor Yi Zaicheng, and Program Director Mou Xiaobo attended the reception. The visiting guests also included Chen Ran, Director of the Office of External Relations and Alumni Affairs at Shanghai University, Xu Guoming, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Faculty of Law at Shanghai University, and Yu Wei, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Law.

During the discussion, Dean Fang Quan warmly welcomed the visit from Shanghai University and provided an introduction to the development of the Faculty of Law over the past 23 years, including its faculty and student scale, teaching characteristics, national-level research platforms, various affiliated institutions, and external cooperation and exchanges.

Secretary Xu Guoming of the Faculty of Law at Shanghai University also introduced the basic situation of their institution, specifically mentioning the potential for cooperation in the field of arbitration.

Deputy Secretary Duan Yong expressed his hope for increased collaboration between the two universities and faculties, including substantive cooperation in areas such as faculty exchanges, student exchanges, and academic research.

This meeting further established friendly connections between the Faculty of Law at M.U.S.T. and the Faculty of Law at Shanghai University. Both parties look forward to continued close collaboration, resource sharing, and expanding cooperation opportunities on a higher cooperative platform.
