On October 30, 2026, a delegation led by Li Shichun, Head of the Faculty of Law of Xiangtan University, paid a visit. They were received by Dean Fang Quan of the School of Law, Program Director Peng Yunpeng, Program Director Mou Xiaobo, Program Director Zhou Ting, Professor Shen Yunqiao, and Assistant Professor Man Tao. Also visiting were Yi Lifeng, Deputy Head of the Faculty of Law of Xiangtan University, Lian Guangyang, Deputy Head, Xiao Feng, Deputy Head, Professor Cai Gaoqiang, Party Committee Member Zou Lin, and Teacher Zhang Qinglin.

At the symposium, Dean Fang Quan welcomed the visiting delegation from the Faculty of Law of Xiangtan University and introduced the School of Law at MUST’s achievements in legal talent cultivation, academic research, and external academic exchanges. In his remarks, Head Li Shichun expressed gratitude for the School of Law’s reception and briefly shared the Faculty of Law of Xiangtan University’s practical experience in disciplinary planning, teaching reform, and social services. The two sides held productive discussions on topics including the development of the law curriculum system, academic exchange and cooperation, and mutual visits and exchanges between faculty and students, reaching preliminary consensus on multiple areas of cooperation.
After the symposium, the two sides exchanged commemorative gifts and took a group photo, bringing the exchange to a successful conclusion. This visit not only enhanced mutual understanding between the two law schools but also laid a solid foundation for deeper future cooperation in areas such as joint research, co-cultivation of talent, and sharing of academic resources.
