On the morning of September 26, 2024, Dean Fang Quan and her delegation visited the Criminal Justice College at China University of Political Science and Law (CUPL). The conference was attended by Dean Liu Yanhong, Vice Dean Guo Zhiyuan, Vice Dean Xiao Chenghai, Deputy Director Yin Bo of the Criminal Justice School, Deputy Director Shi Fang of the Criminal Law Research Institute, Deputy Director Shang Xixue of the Cyber Law Research Institute, and Dr. Yan Zemin of the Criminal Procedure Law Research Institute. Additionally, Program Director Mou Xiaobo, Associate Professor Peng Yunpeng, and Assistant Professor Guo Yiting from the Faculty of Law at MUST also participated in the visit to Beijing.

Vice Dean Guo Zhiyuan, the moderator of the conference, extended a warm welcome and heartfelt thanks to Dean Fang Quan and her delegation. Following this, Dean Liu Yanhong provided an overview of the Criminal Justice School at CUPL and expressed hope that both parties could continue to advance cooperation in cultivating talent in foreign-related rule of law and other fields. Dean Fang Quan expressed her gratitude to the hosts for their warm reception and introduced the history, curriculum, teaching and research characteristics, and international exchange initiatives of the Faculty of Law at MUST. She reflected on the past exchanges and collaborations between the two institutions and looked forward to further expanding the depth and breadth of their partnership, with a focus on enhancing cooperation in the cultivation of criminal law professionals and academic research for mutual development.

During the conference, both parties engaged in extensive discussions regarding specific directions and content for future cooperation. They acknowledged the long-standing history of exchange and collaboration between the two schools and committed to strengthening existing partnerships while promoting deeper exchanges. Following the conference, Dean Liu Yanhong accompanied Dean Fang Quan and her delegation on a visit to the History Museum of CUPL and the Lei Jieqiong Memorial Hall.
