On the morning of September 25, 2024, Dean Fang Quan from the Faculty of Law of the Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST), along with Program Director Mou Xiaobo, Associate Professor Peng Yunpeng, and Assistant Professor Guo Yiting, visited the Shandong University Law School. They were welcomed by Dean Zhou Changjun of the Shandong University Law School and Dean of the Shandong University Law School at Weihai (hereinafter referred to as SDU Law School at Weihai), Vice Dean Fu Benchao, Lecturer Li Jie, Assistant Researcher Cheng Long, and Foreign Affairs Secretary Li Hanbing for a discussion and exchange.
The Venue of the Conference
Dean Zhou Changjun of Shandong University Law School and Dean of the SDU Law School at Weihai warmly welcomed Dean Fang Quan and her delegation from the Faculty of Law of the MUST. Dean Zhou provided an overview of the historical evolution, operational scale, faculty strength, and research capabilities of Shandong University Law School. In response, Dean Fang Quan expressed her gratitude for the warm reception and shared the founding history, development trajectory, and current educational status of the Faculty of Law at MUST. She highlighted the faculty's ongoing exploration and notable achievements in implementing the faculty in practicing the policy of “One Country, Two Systems” in legal higher education. Through this exchange, both parties reached a consensus to further strengthen cooperation between the two law schools, leverage their respective strengths, expand platforms for collaboration, enhance faculty and student exchanges, and jointly promote innovative development in legal education to cultivate more legal professionals to support the country's development.

Subsequently, Dean Fang Quan and Dean Zhou Changjun signed the exchange and cooperation agreement on behalf of their respective institutions and exchanged commemorative gifts symbolizing their friendly collaboration.
The signing of this exchange and cooperation agreement holds significant importance for advancing the future development of relations between the two parties. The two law schools will fully utilize their respective strengths, continuously explore innovative collaboration models, and work together to promote high-quality development.
Souvenir Exchange
After the signing ceremony, Dean Zhou Changjun accompanied Dean Fang Quan and her delegation on a visit to the Shandong University Museum (Qingdao Campus). The university's history exhibition showcased the development and evolution of Shandong University for more than 100 years, while the cultural relics exhibition displayed significant sites and exquisite cultural relics from the Houli Culture, Beixin Culture, Dawenkou Culture, Longshan Culture, and the Xia, Shang, and Zhou periods, all excavated by the teachers and students from the Shandong University Archaeology Department. The cultural heritage and academic legacy of Shandong University's century-long development will also provide a solid foundation for future collaboration between the two law schools.
