“Unlock the Door for Doctor of Law” on 27 September 2019

So as to acquaint the freshmen with the doctoral program procedure, Faculty of Law organized the “Unlock the Door for Doctor of Law” activity on 27 September.  Assistant Professor Bi Jingwei and Xie Gengliang, lecturer Chen Bo and the new joined doctoral students were participated in the captioned activity.

During the activity, Assistant Professor Bi Jingwei introduced serval types of dissertation writing, encouraged students to be more harsh to themselves during their study.  He also hoped that students could communicate with their supervisors in order to make the decision of the dissertation topic.

As a new lecturer, Chen Bo shared his own experience while he was studying the doctoral program.  To call the students’ attention to consider the upcoming three years as the full time research career.  The aim is to complete the doctoral dissertation with academic contribution, instead of being a passive student.

Assistant Professor Xie Gengliang took an example of a doctoral dissertation from a well-known British University which has been vehemently discussed by foreign media recently.  Encouraging students to cherish their own reputations and writing qualified dissertations.  During the interactive session, students gained a lot through discussing the study methods and dissertation writing skills with the Professors.
