2022/2023 Freshman orientation was held on 2 September 2022.  Professor Fang Quan, Dean of Faculty of Law, with more than 20 teachers joined the online orientation.  There were around two hundreds undergraduate and postgraduate students attended the captioned orientation.

Professor Fang Quan represented the Faculty of Law to welcome all the freshmen and conveyed to them to be kind and rational.  Kindness and rationality were always mentioned in class as those were the basic requirements for the legal professionals.  The essential elements of kindness were honesty and sympathy.  Rationality was about to think prudently and to have the ability of analyzing logically.  Therefore, Professor Fang was looking forward to seeing the students to be kind and rational, embark on the journey to become a successful lawyer.

Tian Yue, representative of undergraduate student, shared her feeling as of a freshman in M.U.S.T.  She encouraged everyone to enjoy the diverse learning environment and grasped the opportunities which offered by the University.  Treasure the time in M.U.S.T, experience the Law and become a legal talent in the near future.

Pun, Hio Cheng, representative of Master student, encouraged everyone to try and practice, cherish the precious study time and the opportunity to fulfill their ideals.  She also expressed that everyone should adjust their mentality when facing the new challenge, fight for their dreams and enjoy the time in M.U.S.T.

Assistant Professor Wong Weng Kuok, representative of Faculty of Law, he urged the students to treasure the learning life.  Mental and physical concerns were also significance while attaching the importance to the academic results.  He encouraged students to broaden the scope of the world which had to read more books and make more friends.

In order to encourage students to attend the faculty activities and academic competitions, we presented the certificates to the outstanding students who participated the above mentioned events enthusiastically as an encouragement.

Meanwhile, we have prepared a series of seminar on the subjects of courses studying guide, faculty activities and competitions introduction, etc. which could assist the freshmen to integrate into the new academic year.

The 2022/2023 freshman orientation was ended with a happy and harmonious atmosphere.
