On the afternoon of October 30, 2023, a delegation from the Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan Legal Professional Committee of the Shenzhen Lawyers Association visited the Faculty of Law aat M.U.S.T. The delegation was led by Director Huang Fulong and Deputy Director Yang Yixian. Dean Fang Quan of the Faculty of Law, Program Director Bi Jingwei, Assistant Professor Dai Mengliang, and Assistant Professor Xue Wenchao attended the reception. The visiting guests also included 18 members from the Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan Legal Professional Committee of the Shenzhen Lawyers Association and the Lawyers Work Committee of Futian District.
Visit by the Shenzhen Lawyers Association
Dean Fang Quan warmly welcomed the visiting delegation and provided an introduction on the teaching characteristics, talent cultivation goals, institutional development, and external exchanges of the Faculty of Law. She particularly highlighted the important role played by the Law Practice Teaching Center in cultivating students' practical legal skills and promoting exchanges between the Faculty of Law and the industry.
Director Huang Fulong expressed appreciation for the development and achievements of the Faculty of Law and expressed the desire to collaborate and jointly cultivate interdisciplinary legal professionals. He also emphasized the need to deepen the development of legal affairs and academic research in the Greater Bay Area, providing support for the construction of the Bay Area. Subsequently, both sides discussed the innovation and breakthroughs in legal cooperation in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area and the conflicts and coordination in regional judicial assistance between the mainland and Macau.
The Faculty of Law and the Shenzhen Lawyers Association have maintained a friendly connection, and both parties hope to strengthen communication and further expand the scope of cooperation between Shenzhen and Macau.
