In her speech, Deputy Director Chan Tze Wai expressed that emerging and cutting-edge technologies are rapidly advancing, posing new demands for intellectual property protection. She encouraged everyone to make full use of the platform provided by Intellectual Property Law Alliance of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (IPLAG) and the Intellectual Property Forum to share successful experiences and practices. She emphasized the important role they play in promoting intellectual property development and facilitating high-quality development in the Greater Bay Area, and encouraged them to provide innovative insights for future development.

In his speech, Deputy Director Fong Peng Kit expressed that with the increasing cooperation in intellectual property legal services among the Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macau regions, Intellectual Property Law Alliance of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (IPLAG) can leverage its unique advantages to strengthen exchanges and collaboration among intellectual property experts, scholars, and industry professionals from the three regions. Together, they can explore ways to establish effective mechanisms for resolving intellectual property disputes and promote coordinated development of intellectual property services within the region. He emphasized the alliance's potential to make new contributions to the construction of a regional mechanism for resolving intellectual property disputes.

In her speech, Chairman Fang Quan expressed that the alliance has been growing and expanding since its establishment five years ago, with a current membership of 36 director units. The alliance will strive with a stronger sense of mission and responsibility to build the Greater Bay Area as a talent incubation base, research hub, and think tank for intellectual property law. They will continue to progress and advance while adhering to the alliance's principles.

During the opening ceremony, Professor Wu Han Dong, Honorary Director of the Macau Intellectual Property Research Center and Distinguished Guest Professor at the Faculty of Law, M.U.S.T., and Professor Ma Yide, Professor at the School of Public Policy and Management/Intellectual Property School, University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, delivered keynote speeches on the topics of "The Rule of Law, Historical Perspectives, and Development Perspectives in Intellectual Property Awareness" and "The Development and Prospects of China's Intellectual Property System in the Context of a Healthy China," respectively.

Nearly 30 intellectual property experts and scholars participated in in-depth discussions and exchanges on three main topics: "Fundamental Theoretical Research on Intellectual Property System," "Exploration of Intellectual Property System Practices," and "Cutting-edge Issues and Hot Topics in Intellectual Property in the Greater Bay Area and the Hengqin Guangdong-Macau Cooperation Zone."
On the afternoon of December 1st, the Alliance Council held a meeting where they approved the Council's work report, the inclusion of new director units, and the selection of the host for the next annual conference.
Federation Board Meeting
IPLAG(The Intellectual Property Law Alliance of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area), co-led by the Faculty of Law at the M.U.S.T., the Faculty of Law at the University of Hong Kong, and the School of Intellectual Property at Jinan University, was established in 2018. It currently consists of 36 director units, including intellectual property departments, research institutions, service platforms, and social organizations from universities in the Greater Bay Area. The secretariat is permanently located at the Macau Intellectual Property Research Center, which is a research partner of the Ministry of Education's Humanities and Social Sciences Research Base.
